It takes a certain type of person to work in a warehouse. There are some essential functions that he or she must be able to do in an efficient manner. First and foremost, a warehouse worker must be able to follow directions so that the shipping, receiving and stocking of goods is done in the best way possible. He or she must be able to read and understand reports and follow directions given by the supervisor. A warehouse worker often is asked to drive delivery vehicles to transport orders to specific destinations. Basically, warehousing jobs require workers to be flexible enough to get the job done well.
